For You

Will you remember me?

When your bones are aching and your skin droops in shaded dunes,

And the touch of yesterday is but a blur,

And the glimpse of tomorrow is a torturous allure.

Will you recall,

Our eclipse hours gracing eternity,

Racing through thunderous heavens,

Grasping divine femininity.

My mirth in dance,

Your smile in swan,

Those storied wrinkles,

Of an evanescent song.

Will you see my face again,

And hear me shout,

For promises untold,

Those murmurs that dared us to be bold.

And will you remember how it felt,

When the world glistened just for us.
